How can FatHubby lose weight, when……

June 29, 2007

How can FatHubby lose weight, when SFF is asking me out to the mexican restaurant (she ate pretty good), then goes to get ice cream? And she tried to justify it by saying “sugar-free”? What the hell is sugar-free ice cream? Is that anything like “safe-cigarettes”?

I am down to 294 lbs. Not on track, but losing.

I also signed up for the gym.

  1. You’ve outed me! Just so everyone will know I did not eat the chips at the mexican place. I only eat the salsa, and with a fork. OK the ice cream was not a good idea but it was low fat and sugar free and I only had one bowl. Back in the day I would eaten the whole carton. Plus, if it weren’t for the fact that I wanted ice cream I never would have realized that I left my wallet at the mexican restaurant. So I actually saved myself a bunch of trouble.

I like your reward system. Getting a reward for signing up for the gym.

  2. You can lose weight if you’re eating ice cream and Mexican food….way FatHubby hungry? That’s the key!

  3. Knowing you (and Loving you) like I do,,,I think it is great that you are even aware that you need to lose weight and are talking about it on a blog. If you lose even 1 lb it is better than gaining 1 lb. Keep trying,,,,would you belive me if I said it gets easier? I have been trying to eat less meat,,especially beef. I remind myself that you use to be a vegatarian (SP?) and if you can do that I can at least cut down. It helps me!!!

  4. Signing up for the gym is great — of course you have to then go there. But it’s great you signed up! I love only 8 yogurt, it’s served at a few soft ice cream places – it’s a healthy yogurt, diabetics and lactose intolerant folks can even have, only 32 calories a serving. I don’t get it often – but it’s a nice treat (sugar free ice cream can be good too – I love the skinny cow pops in the freezer section of most grocery stores).

Hope to see an update soon! We are all cheering for you. Health and Happiness, Lady Rose

  5. We wanna hear how you’re likin’ the gym??

    Don’t be a stranger!

  6. Some sugarfree ice creams are actually pretty tasty. Plus I’d rather have sugarfree ice cream than NO ice cream… life without ice cream would be unfortunate!

A loss is a loss, however small or large. Just keep chipping away at it!

  7. Congrats on your loss…and making the commitment to join the gym…its all DOWN from here…(in a good way of course!)

  8. Zip up your zipper and allow yourself to believe that there is such a thing as sugar free ice cream. There is also an Easter Bunny who moonlights as Santa Claus and the Labor Day fairy.

  9. I agree. What the heck is sugar free ice cream? That’s not ice cream. Better to go without.
And please don’t say you are not on track. Moving in the right direction is being on track.
And good for you for joining the gym. I am going to join the gym also. BTW, I found you through Southern Fried Fatty’s blog, which I found through CritiqueMyBlog.com
Come visit my journal if you feel like it! I’m Krissy :)

  10. I sent all of these people here to support you so you should at least post. What is your plan for losing 10lbs this month?

  11. Ummm…the mention of ice-cream sets me on a roller-coaster of craziness. I haven’t eaten ice-cream for months.

  12. Whut happened? You reach your goal yet? Down to 175? I am — on my left side!
